Cooking Workshops

​Hi everyone,

Due to the COVID-19 situation, the actual workshops are currently limited as well as need to be booked in advance. The price of actual Cooking classes are 35% higher than the online classes which are displaying on this website.

Online Cooking classes are available upon booking to suite your convenience, and will be held on Zoom or Skype Application.

Kindly note that for online classes the participant is going to receive a list of Cooking ingredients once the booking is made, so you can prepare for the materials easier; and the good news is the online class fee is reduced compare to the in-person-class.

​There are many different Vietnamese Cooking workshops which you can choose from the list down below. If you have any question don't hesitate to contact me directly.

Vietnamese Noodle Pho

Description:
When it comes to Vietnamese cuisine, pho is king. This hearty and delicious meal is a staple in Asian cuisine, and is super fun to make! The dish is created with Vietnamese noodles and is infused with either beef or chicken for protein, but can also be made with a vegetarian version for non-meat eaters. I will help you understand the basics of creating this meal so you can enjoy it any time of the week from the comfort of your own home.
You'll learn to:
  • Make a broth using one of the main ingredients (chicken bone, beef bone, or vegetable),
  • Cook Vietnamese rice noodles to perfection,
  • Use chopsticks to eat this delicious meal.
 
Cooking Materials will be provided by the instructor
(only for actual class):
  • Chicken or Beef or Vegetable,
  • Fresh herbs (shallots, spring onion, lime, garlic, coriander roots, chili),
  • Dry herb (cloves, star anise, cinnamon stick, black cardamom, fennel seeds, coriander seeds),
  • Dry ingredients (salt, black pepper, rice or noodle).

  • Participants must mention what foods or ingredients they are allergic or sensitive to, so that the instructor can avoid using these items.

Vietnamese Traditional Spring Rolls

Description:
Spring rolls (nem ran or cha gio) are the most beloved of Asian dishes, and the Vietnamese spring rolls version is considered one of the best among them all. They are also very easy to make at home!
 
I will teach you how to create this delicious meal that is often served everywhere in Vietnam from five-star hotels to street carts on the sidewalks of Hanoi. This dish is one of my specialties.
You'll learn to:
  • Slice and marinate the mixed meat and vegetables and to flavor them with Vietnamese spices,
  • Use rice paper to make the rolls,
  • Fry the rolls and make the traditional Vietnamese salad of cucumber and carrots,
  • Create a fish sauce for dipping that can be served with or without chilly.
 
Cooking Materials will be provided by the instructor 
(only for actual class):
  • ​Minced chicken, beef, shrimp or veggies (one of your choice),
  • Fresh herbs (lettuce, mint, coriander leaves, lime, chili),
  • Dry ingredients (salt, glass noodle, rice paper, mushrooms),
  • Fish sauce, oil.

Are you looking to try some new and exotic seafood dishes to spice up your diet? I will introduce you to the classic Hanoi grilled fish dish (cha ca la vong) seasoned with turmeric, spring onion, and dill.
You'll learn to:
  • Marinate the fish fillet of your choice (white fish),
  • Season the dish to your taste,
  • Cook white rice or noodle to pair with this flavorful dish,
  • Create a traditional Vietnamese style dipping sauce using fish sauce, garlic, lime, black pepper and chili (optional).

Are you looking for a delicious meal to pair with steamed white rice? You're in luck because braised chicken with ginger (ga kho gung va com trang) is the perfect dish, and it is super easy to make.
 
Learn the secrets behind the taste of this mouth-watering dish from prepping and marinating the meat, seasoning with the right spices, and adjusting the cooking time and temperature for a perfect cook. The great thing about braised chicken with ginger is that many of the spices can be replaced with other ingredients that suit your palate. I  will also teach you how to cook the perfect fluffy jasmine rice using a rice cooker or a regular pot

Are you looking for some healthy dishes for yourself and loved ones? Visit Vietnam from the comfort of your own home with these classic tropical-inspired cuisine. I will teach you to create 2 dishes in this workshop:
 
•           A mixture of fresh fruit, tasty spices, and delicious shrimp that comes together to make a tasty mango or papaya salad with shrimp (nom xoai/ dudu hai san)
•           Refreshing and crunchy Vietnamese coconut milk dessert with either banana or corn topped with peanuts, tapioca pearls, and crushed icea
You'll learn to:
  • Marinate the shrimp,
  • Make the salad dressing,
  • Season the salad dish to your taste,
  • Prepare the delicious dessert.

Cooking Materials will be provided by the instructor

  • Shrimp,
  • Mango or papaya fruit of your choice,
